The Sherpas of Everest Series: Pasang Tshering Sherpa

Pasang Tshering Sherpa has summited Everest 3 times by three different routes! First on the September 26th, 1988 via the standard South East Ridge route while on the French expedition led by Francois Poissonnier. Second, on May 13th, 1994 on the Japanese expedition he summited via the South Pillar route. On May 11, 1996 he summited via the standard North side route again on a Japanese expedition.

Note this last summit date of May 11th, 1996. 5 climbers summited the North side of Everest the day after May 10, 1996! He has summited Cho Oyu 4 times and counting..

He currently lives in Kathmandu, and if from Beding, Dolkha.
