May 10, 1980:
Tsuneo Shigehiro and Takashi Ozaki made the first full ascent of
the North Face (Japanese Couloir to the Hornbein Couloir) of
Everest. On December 16, 1983 he summited Everest in winter via
the standard south east ridge route.

Celebrated Japanese mountaineer Takashi Ozaki has joined the Adventure
Consultants team as Head of Marketing for Asia. Takashi and AC
Director Guy Cotter spent several weeks this summer sharing their
respective mountaineering journeys and discussing future plans.
Takashi is a world renown and highly respected climber who has climbed
six of the 8000 meter peaks
including Everest in
Winter !
In
addition to coordinating AC's marketing activities in the Asia region,
Takashi will be assisting the AC team of UIAGM guides on upcoming
expeditions and extending his already vast repertoire of ascents. "
Takashi is a talented expedition climber, and has a very likable
personality. We welcome his involvement and look forward to sharing
some Sherpa tea with him on our next trip" said Guy.
